Famifax

Famifax is a Lyon-based VJ and visual artist whose work brings the visual vocabulary of natural science — fluid dynamics, cellular biology, bioluminescence — into live electronic music performance. Working with real-time simulation tools, Famifax creates visual systems that feel alive in a literal sense: growing, dividing, flowing, and responding to music as if the sound itself were a biological signal.

This organic aesthetic creates an interesting counterpoint to the mechanical, industrial, or geometrically abstract visuals that dominate much of the techno and electronic music visual landscape. Where others reach for steel and concrete, Famifax finds beauty in the microscopic — in the processes of life rendered at the scale of the club.

Based in Lyon, Famifax performs across France and at international electronic music festivals, developing a visual practice that is genuinely distinctive in the European VJ landscape.
