DIVINE CREATION is a solo VJ work by Jacob Rendell, built around generative real-time imagery composed and performed live to Richie Hawtin’s track Orange / Minus 2 (from the Minus label).
Created using Max/MSP/Jitter 5, After Effects CC, and VDMX 5, the work is typical of Rendell’s approach — dense layers of precisely choreographed geometric motion, driven by both temporal and spectral triggers from the music. The result sits somewhere between VJ set and video art: disciplined enough to be structural, free enough to feel alive.
Released through Rendell’s Tumblr and Vimeo presence under the universal-order moniker, the piece circulated widely in VJ and motion design communities on its release, becoming a reference for technically sophisticated live visual performance.
