Quayola

Quayola is a London-based Italian artist whose practice spans audiovisual performance, installation, sculpture, and print — united by a rigorous investigation into the relationship between old and new, human and machine, classical beauty and computational process.

His live performances — including the PTA series and collaborations with musicians like Mira Calix — are studies in precision: generative visuals that respond to sound with the exactness of a mathematical proof and the expressiveness of improvised music. The tension between order and emergence is the defining characteristic of his live work.

Beyond performance, Quayola has created major installations for institutions worldwide, including the Barbican Centre (London), Palais de Tokyo (Paris), and ZKM (Karlsruhe), as well as commissioned work for brands, broadcasters, and festivals at the intersection of art and industry.

He has collaborated with the Orchestre de Paris, robotics manufacturers, and leading electronic musicians, and his work has been collected by major institutions internationally.
