PTA 04

PTA 04 is an excerpt from Quayola’s PTA live audiovisual show (2007/8) — a performance series focused on the precise synchronisation between sound and image, resulting from multiple collaborative residencies and research periods.

Audio was produced by Geoff White, released through Ghostly International — one of the defining electronic music labels of its era. The partnership between Quayola’s visual computation and White’s sonic architecture created a performance that was simultaneously mathematical and deeply felt.

PTA stands as one of the foundational works of contemporary live AV performance — a genre that Quayola has helped define and advance through two decades of rigorous practice. The work has been presented at major festivals including Sonar, Mutek, CTM, and the Barbican, establishing Quayola as one of the essential figures in audiovisual culture worldwide.
